After Your Appointment
The healing process is where your results are made or lost. Follow these instructions closely for the first 10–14 days — what you do during this window has a direct impact on your final outcome.
No sweating, swimming, steam, or submerging the brow area in water for 10 full days. Moisture during the healing phase causes the pigment to lift and fade unevenly. Wash your face carefully, avoiding the brows entirely. A damp cotton pad around the area is fine — direct water contact is not.
You'll leave the studio with a healing ointment. Apply a thin layer to the brow area once or twice daily as instructed. The key word is thin — over-application suffocates the skin and pulls pigment out. If your brows look shiny, you've used too much.
Your brows will flake and peel during the healing process. This is completely normal. Do not pick or peel the skin — the pigment underneath is still setting, and removing flakes prematurely pulls color out with them. Let everything fall away naturally and the result will be much more even.
UV exposure is the single biggest factor in premature pigment fading. Avoid direct sun on your brows during the healing period and protect them with a hat or visor when you're outside. Do not apply sunscreen directly to healing brows — SPF contains ingredients that interfere with pigment retention during early healing.
Makeup, exfoliating acids, and retinol all interfere with the healing skin's ability to lock in pigment. Keep everything off the brow area for two weeks — no exceptions. Once healed, you can resume your normal skincare routine, though avoiding retinol directly on the brows will extend the life of your results long-term.
In the first week, your brows will appear darker and slightly bolder than the finished result — this is the healing process, not the final product. By week two, the color will lighten significantly and the strokes will soften. The true result reveals itself around week four to six, just before your perfecting session.
Your perfecting session is a necessary part of the process. Once your brows are fully healed, we'll assess how the pigment settled, address any unevenness, and make final adjustments to the design. Do not skip this appointment — it's where the result you paid for is finished.
